NBA 3 on 3 – King of the Court

The Challenge / Opportunity:

Our Wrigley’s client was looking for an innovative idea to leverage their sponsorship of the NBA 3on3 tournament.

What We Did:

We proposed and received support from our client to create a head-to-head competition featuring two of the top streetballers in North America. Tru Baller (Chris Yung) took on his long time rival King Handles (Joey Haywood) in a two-day match at the Toronto stop of the 3on3 tour. Tru Baller had a great first match, but the youthfulness of King Handles reigned supreme as he won three back-to-back games to be crowned the winner of the first ever Juicy Fruit King of the Court.

Program Results:

As an official sponsor of the NBA 3on3 tournament, Juicy Fruit was able to play an integral role in creating additional on-site activities for participants. Based on the success of King of the Court, in 2009, we have been rewarded by our client to launch King of the Court II.
