Lifford Wine Agency LCBO Tastings

The Challenge / Opportunity:

InField was engaged to execute an LCBO tasting program which would drive sales by increasing brand awareness and recognition through product trial. As part of the program, InField was challenged to own the application, confirmation, and turn-key execution of all tasting events.

What We Did:

With Smart Serve Certified staff executing all events, tasters were responsible for communicating product information, suggested food pairings, preparing a food item and meeting sales quotas.  Specialty tasting events were conducted at Specialty Store locations which featured a premium food item/cooking demonstration, themed décor as well as entertainment (i.e. the Toronto Wine & Cheese Show, NHL Alumni events and Valentine’s Day).

Program Results:

  • Over 125 tasting events and 25 Specialty Store Events have been executed since October 2008
  • Marked increase in sales of Lifford products, and maximized efficiency due to streamlined process
